The Wheel Square starts from the intersection of Dongfeng Avenue and Zhuanyang Avenue, and is seamlessly connected to the Zhuanyang Avenue Station of Metro Line 3. The subway platform can be directly connected to the tram platform. A reporter from Wuhan Evening News took a test ride on the T1 line from the last station, Deshenggang Station, to the first station, Wheel Square Station, stopping at 22 stations along the way. 3 ways to buy tickets after getting on the train
Each train is 37 meters long and can carry 360 people

The T1 line platform is a semi-enclosed platform that can be freely entered and exited. Ordinary passengers can enter the platform directly through the ground, and special people using wheelchairs can also travel without barriers. Four carriages are organized into a tram, which is about 37 meters long. The entire train is about the same length as two buses and can hold 360 people when fully loaded. The car door is divided into upper door and lower door. There is a shopping mall next to the upper door. There are three ways to purchase tickets on the ticketing equipment. Passengers can insert coins, use Wuhan Pass, or use UnionPay cards to purchase tickets.
There are 60 seats in the carriage, some of which are foldable. Eye-catching red love seats are set up at the entrance of each car door. There are also wheelchair areas for disabled people in each of the two middle cars to facilitate the placement of wheelchairs. A safety hammer is placed next to the window of the carriage, and a small window that can be opened manually is set above the window.
There are 10 induction doors in the 4 carriages. There are also emergency help buttons and emergency door opening devices next to the doors to ensure that passengers can board normally. Get off the vehicle and leave quickly in emergencies. Different from the subway train, the TV display screen of the tram is set in the middle of the carriage. There are display screens on both sides of the same display, so passengers can see it from any angle.
According to a person from the Wuhan Chedu Modern Tram Operating Company, the T1 line fare is based on the price announced after the passenger trial operation, and discounts are implemented for regular public transportation objects such as old age cards and disability cards. , but there is currently no transfer discount.
Maximum speed 70 yards per hour
Right-of-way priority without waiting for red lights

Trams The designed maximum operating speed can reach 70 km/h. Currently, the regular operating speed of Wuhan subway trains is between 60 km/h and 70 km/h. The tram is almost as fast as the subway in terms of fastest speed. Engineers calculated that the tram only needs 2.8 kilowatt-hours of electricity to travel one kilometer. Based on the electricity cost of large industries of 0.6448 yuan/kilowatt-hour, it is equivalent to less than 2 yuan for electricity to run one kilometer.
Because the Chedu T1 line is not in the downtown area, there are few tall buildings along the way and the view is wide. It mainly passes through Junshan and Xuefeng, Chaoyang, Shenlong and other 4 communities. Pit stop times range from 21 seconds to 42 seconds. Every time a vehicle enters a station, in addition to loading and unloading passengers, it also has to charge and \”feed\” itself. It can last up to 5 kilometers per charge and is guaranteed to travel 3 stops. Line T1 enjoys priority right of way. Currently, half of the 36 level crossings along the line have achieved traffic signal priority. It is expected that after the passenger trial operation, the other half of the intersections will gradually achieve priority based on actual operation conditions.
The driver holds a P license to drive trams
When driving, he must gesture and shout commands

On December 1 last year, 15 young people born in the 1990s completed the four-subject exam and successfully obtained the driving license code-named P, becoming modern tram drivers in the Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone. This is the first batch of P-licensed drivers in Wuhan and even central China.
P is rare in the country. On the back of the motor vehicle driver\’s license, the permitted driving type marked with the letter P is a tram. From the driver\’s license perspective, the P license is valid for 6 years. The annual inspection refers to the relevant regulations for drivers of large and medium-sized passenger trucks.
Four years ago, in order to reserve drivers for modern trams in Wuhan Development Zone, Wuhan Bus ordered 39 trainees from Hubei Railway Transportation Vocational College. After they graduated in June this year, 15 of them were selected Go to Suzhou Tram Training Base to receive driver\’s license training and examination. The remaining 24 people will be tested in batches according to development needs. Only with a P license can you be qualified to drive a tram.
Qiu Le, who got the P photo, said: \”We don\’t have a steering wheel, we don\’t move our feet, and we rely on one handle to control starting, speed adjustment, braking and pitting. It takes 30 seconds. Loosen it, and then press it again after 3 seconds to prevent fatigue caused by holding the handle immobile for a long time, and also to prevent the vehicle from automatically stopping, causingrear end. Every time we perform an operation, we must consciously make corresponding actions and shout corresponding slogans in a closed cab with only the driver. This is called shouting with hands than with mouth. There is a probe in the cab to monitor the whole process. ”
The Economic Development Company of Wuhan Public Transport Group, which is responsible for tram operation, introduced that because of the professionalism of trams In order to ensure the safety of passengers in the car, pedestrians outside the car, and the vehicle, strict \”tightening rules\” are formulated for the driver. For example, the turning speed cannot exceed 15 kilometers per hour, and it is strictly prohibited to run through the traffic light. Wait, if you violate the rules, you will be severely punished and even suspended.
Female flight attendants will be assigned to the carriages
Backstage monitoring without blind spots

Each rail train is equipped with 3 staff members, including 1 driver and 2 flight attendants. Wearing a skirt and a small hat, he is responsible for security, supervision, taking care of special passengers, and preventing flammable and explosive items from getting on the bus.
On the tram The base also has a large-scale dispatching control system, which monitors the tram\’s various platforms, sections, vehicle movements, etc. in the background without any blind spots. There are about 140 probes distributed along the entire T1 line, which will reflect all changes on the large screen in the background for convenience.
People from the tram operating company said that the trains were all in a hurry. The T1 line is planned to be put into trial operation with passengers on July 28. The running intervals and start and end times have not yet been finalized. Currently, 4 bus lines, including 335, 351, 261, and 271, have been adjusted to connect with the T1 line. We will continue to adjust or add bus lines according to demand in the future.
