The Jimuna Port National Gate was built in 1950 and is made of red pine wood.
The national gate of Xinjiang Jimunai Port is known as the \”No. 1 Gate in the Northwest\”. The former national gate of Jimunai Port has now become an autonomous region-level patriotic education base and one of the important attractions in the Jimunai Port tourist area.
Jimunai Port is an old port with a history of more than 100 years. The port was closed after 1962. In 1991, the port was opened for temporary cargo transit. In August 1992, the governments of China and Kazakhstan signed an agreement, agreeing that the Jimuna Port would be a bilateral open port all year round, allowing the passage of people, goods and transportation from China and Kazakhstan. In March 1994, the State Council approved the opening of the port to the outside world. In November 1997, it passed the national acceptance and the port was officially opened. On January 4, 2002, the Chinese and Kazakh governments reached an agreement and agreed to open the Jimuna Port to third-country personnel, goods and transportation. Nowadays, Provincial Highway 315 has been built to Jimunai Port, which extends the port to all directions.
