This is my first time contacting the flip garage door. Now I will summarize the installation steps.
Materials: square tubes, tracks, door panels, shafts, motors, control boxes, springs, boosters, hinges, wheels, screws and other accessories
First of all, you need to measure the size of the door opening to see if there is a door stack. If there is no door stack, you need to install a square tube. A total of 49 garage doors were installed in this project, 30 of which required the installation of square tubes. There are slight differences in size, but most sizes are 3.6*4 meters and 3.6*4.2, and the door panels can be customized according to the door size.
Installation steps:
1. Install the square tube and use expansion screws to weld the square tube to the door opening and vertically Install the sealing strip on the straight track, and then drive the vertical track to the square tube with dovetail wire (if no square tube is added, directly drive the track to the hole with expansion screws). The distance between the two tracks is 4-6 cm longer than the size of the door panel. After installing the door panel, the distance between the two sides of the track is 2-3 cm. This is the space left for the wire rope.
2. Install the door panel. Use the door panel with the bottom mark as the bottom piece, with the notch facing down and the spit facing up. Install the bottom seal (with sealing strip) at the bottom. Fix the base of the fixed steel wire rope firmly with dovetail wire, install the wheels and put them into the track. Install the door panels piece by piece, paying attention to keeping the hinges in line.
3. Install the shaft. Fix the shaft at a distance of about 50 cm from the uppermost door panel (the specific size will be determined on site). From left to right on the shaft are the wire rope turntable, spring, spring, wire rope turntable, and motor (red turntable is on the left, black is on the right, yellow spring is on the left, and blue is on the right). The position of the shaft should be horizontal, and the key on the shaft should not be inserted yet.
4. Install curved rails. Weld the curved rail to the top with angle iron. Make sure the curved rail is in line with the vertical rail so that the door panel can flip upwards smoothly. The curved rail must have a certain inclination, and the height difference between the two sides should be controlled at about 5 cm.
5. Fix the wire rope. Fix the wire rope on the turntable, then pass it down from the side of the vertical track to the base of the bottom door panel, and fix it. After being fixed, the wire ropes on both sides should remain the same length. Align the left side of the left turntable with the left side of the track, align the right side of the right side turntable with the right side of the track, and insert the key to secure it.
6. Disc spring. The number of turns to be wound is marked on each spring. It is best to use more than half a turn or one turn when actually panning, because the elasticity of the spring will weaken after a long time. After panning, insert the key to fix it. At this time, you can push the door upward. If the door can be pushed up easily, it means that the number of turns of the spring plate is OK.
7. Install the motor and control box. Fix the motor, plug in the keys, fix the control box and wire it. There are two wires between the control box and the motor. Connect them according to the colors in advance, and then connect the power wire to the control box. For three-phase electric motors, the error indicator light will flash after wiring, and the positions of the two live wires need to be changed until the error indicator light stops flashing.
8. Turn on the power for debugging. After the wiring is connected, the control box indicator light will be on. Press the up or down button to see if the door rises or falls. If the direction is reversed, the signal line sequence from the motor to the control box needs to be changed.
9. Equipped with remote control. Press the button on the remote control module and the light will turn on. Press any key on the remote control twice. When the light goes off, the remote control pairing is successful.
10. Adjust the limit. Limit adjustment is to raise the door to the highest position and lower it to the lowest position so that the motor automatically cuts off power and stops running. There are green and red wheels on the motor. Green controls the upper limit and red controls the lower limit. Raise the door to the highest comfortable position, turn the green wheel clockwise, stop turning when you hear a \”ding\” sound, and secure the green wheel with an Allen wrench. After lowering the door to the lowest position, turn the red wheel counterclockwise, stop turning when you hear a \”ding\” sound, and secure the red cam with a hex wrench. At this time, the upper and lower limits are adjusted. Install the booster on the track according to the position of the upper limit door panel.
